Michael Smith accepted the role of Chief Information Officer at The Estee Lauder Companies in 2017. Prior to that, Smith had enjoyed operating his own technologies and management consulting firm – a company focused on advisement services to entrepreneurs in the sports, technology and life sciences industries. Smith founded Boma Technologies following four successful years with Mylan Laboratories, a global pharmaceuticals corporation.
